Prof. Huei Chu Weng has long served the Heat and Mass Transfer Society of Taiwan (HMTST), holding multiple terms on its Board of Directors and Supervisors. As Chair of the Organizing Committee for the HMTST Annual Conference and the International Workshop on Micro/Nano Heat Transfer and Energy (MNHTE), he led the planning and execution of these events to wide acclaim. To recognize his dedication and outstanding contributions to advancing the heat- and mass-transfer field, the HMTST Secretariat nominated Prof. Weng for the 2025 Service Award, which was approved by the 5th Board of Directors and Supervisors.

In 2014, Prof. Weng served as a keynote speaker at MNHTE2014 — the inaugural workshop — helping shape the Society's early international identity. In 2017, he hosted the 4th Annual Conference (MNHTE2017) as General Chair, integrating industry, academia, and research, and inviting research teams from multiple countries, significantly raising Taiwan's profile in the international heat- and mass-transfer community. He has continued to support the planning of subsequent international symposia and annual conferences, helping build cross-disciplinary collaboration platforms and promoting technology adoption and research exchange.

Prof. Weng's award reflects his exceptional contributions to society building, talent development, and international academic networking — embodying a sustained spirit of service and leadership.
