To realize its "Holistic Education" mission, Chung Yuan Christian University established the inaugural "Holistic Teaching Excellence Award" and held the award ceremony on December 17, 2025, recognizing faculty whose teaching and mentoring exemplify the spirit of holistic education. Three honors were conferred: the "Talent Cultivation Award," the "Life Navigator Award," and the "Holistic Legacy Award."

Prof. Huei Chu Weng of the Department of Mechanical Engineering received the "Life Navigator Award." Prof. Weng emphasizes that professional competence and general education literacy are complementary, and that both are essential for cultivating engineers with strong execution capability and broad-minded inclusivity. His courses center on "fundamentals, creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship." Multiple courses have been recognized in CYCU's curriculum evaluation and teaching grant programs, and he has previously received the IEET Outstanding Teaching Award and Ministry of Education team awards in New Engineering Education and Energy Talent Cultivation.
