Chung Yuan Christian University inaugurated the "Holistic Mentor Award" to honor educators who excel in classroom instruction and student mentorship. The ceremony was held on December 17, 2025.

Professor Huei-Chu Weng received the "Life Navigation Award," recognizing his teaching philosophy centered on "theory, creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship." He emphasizes that professional competence and general education complement each other in cultivating well-rounded engineers.

His courses have been consistently recognized by CYCU's course evaluation system. He has also received the IEET Teaching Excellence Award and Ministry of Education awards for new engineering education and energy talent cultivation.

Three faculty members were honored: Assoc. Prof. Shan-Gen Jian (Potential Nurturing Award), Prof. Huei-Chu Weng (Life Navigation Award), and Prof. Chun-Chieh Chen (Holistic Legacy Award).
